Inpatient services and education are offered to patients while they are hospitalized. Inpatients are assessed and provided education based on their needs. Family members and/or caregivers are included in the education process whenever possible.
- 10 beds dedicated to diabetes care in the hospital at
250 S. Grand Ave., Glendora
- 24-hour staffing with nurses who are specially trained in the care, treatment and education of patients with diabetes
- 24-hour availability to answer patients' questions
- Education on survival skills provided to patients and/or their caregivers with comprehensive education provided whenever possible
- 23-hour insulin initiation on Sweet Success patients
- Initiation of Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion
(CSII pump therapy)
